President
Kathleen Karkos '81 earned a Bachelor of Arts from CSE as an Education Major with a Minor in History. Kathleen is the Client Relationship Manager and Director of Operations for Glen Eagle Advisors responsible for overseeing the firm’s client service team. Prior to her career in finance, Kathleen worked as a teacher in both Virginia and Colorado, and as an Executive at Blue Cross of New Jersey dealing with National Accounts. She has actively volunteered for the Mt. Carmel Guild, Trenton Soup Kitchen, and Friendly Sons & Daughters of St. Patrick of Mercer County. She was recognized by the Alumnae/i Association of CSE in 2013 with the "Distinguished Alumna Award." Her involvement with the Association includes serving as a Director-at-Large, member of the Finance & Programming Committees as well as Holiday Boutiques, "Tea for Three," "An Evening with Jackie O," Lenten Retreats, Virtual Events Series of 2020-21, and presenter at Annual Meetings of recent years. You may also remember Kathleen during her undergraduate years as a member of the swim team, lifeguard and President of the Class of '81 for 3 terms. |

Eilleen Ingbritsen '80 graduated from CSE with a Bachelor of Arts in Education with Honors (Pre-School, Elementary, Special Education, and English). She then went on to Rider University, where she received a Master of Arts in Curriculum, Instruction, and Supervision. She furthered her education at Holy Family University, where she received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Professional Studies. While attending CSE, she was Black Student Union President and involved in the Student New Jersey Education Association (SNJEA), Campus Ministry (Lector), and many other various student committees and activities. Ellie is a recipient of the 2005 Mother Xaiver Award. She is the Director of the Office of Black Apostolate at the Diocese of Trenton. She was also elected Secretary for Ethnic Ministries, making her the first African American woman to be named a part of the administrative cabinet of Bishop John M. Smith. She is a Presenter for the Prison Ministry at the Yardville Correctional Facility on Teaching the Exceptional Child, which guides educators in the Diocese of Trenton on ways to teach students with learning disabilities. Ellie is involved in the following Diocesan Committees: Facilitator for Parish Restructuring Initiatives, Adult Faith Formation, Deacon Formation, Consultant Black Catholic and "Yes!" Radio program. Her professional activities also include: Dean of Students, Professional Development Committee, Vice President Ewing Township Education Association, Program Supervisor for Ewing Alternative High School, and Co-Teacher for English and Special Education Departments. Ellie's professional memberships include: National Education Association, New Jersey Education Association, and National Catholic Education Association. Ellie has served on the Alumnae/i Association Board as a Director-at-Large. |

Germaine McGrath '64 has been an active member of the Alumnae/i Association since graduation in 1964. She has worked on numerous committees and Association projects over the years including, "Tea for Three; Salute to 1st Ladies", Lenten Retreats, Holiday Boutiques, and various scholarship events over the past few decades. A class agent for 40+ years and a member as well as chairwoman of the reunion committee numerous times to count, Germaine enjoys coming to campus and supporting her class, other graduates, the Association and the University community. She has been active in local politics and serves as a Lector in her parish, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bernardsville. Germaine has served two long terms on Parish Council and has penned portions of the Lady of Perpetual Help's Centennial book, Sacred Heart Chapel 100th Anniversary Book and Bernards High School Centennial Book. No stranger to the arts, she has been heavily involved in community theater in various venues over the years. Most recently Germaine is serving on the Bernardsville Library Foundation, a fundraising body, and has been an active member of the Alumnae/i Association Board of Directors since 2018. |
Secretary
Jennifer Hanselman '93 graduated Cum Laude with B.A. degrees in both Art and Elementary Education from CSE. She has been recognized as "Educator of the Year" both in 2001, and in 2021 by the State Dept. of Education for Berkeley Heights School District. In 2007, she was lauded by Governor John Corzine and the State Department of Education's Amistad Commission with an Exemplary Award for Honorable Mention for Teaching Diversity. Jen is a member of the National Association of Women in the Arts, National Art Education Association, Art Educators of New Jersey, NJEA, BHEA and is a certified World Art History Associate through the Smithsonian Institute. Jen has served the CSEU community as director/choreographer/producer of the campus Annual Broadway Revues from 1991-1996 and as a volunteer research assistant to the Director of the Archives -Sister Mary Ellen Gleason- from 1999-2019. Prior to joining the Alumnae/i Association's Board of Directors in 2012 as social media coordinator, Jen represented classes from the 1990's for the Capital Campaign for Annunciation Center. In 2022 she was the recipient of the Alumnae/i Association's "Distinguished Leadership Award" for her service to the CSE/SEU community and its graduates as Alumnae/i President 2017-2021. |
Treasurer
Veronica Sullivan '83 graduated from the College of St. Elizabeth in 1981 with a B.S. in Business Administration. and completed a M.S. in Financial Planning from Seton Hall University in 2000. She earned her license as a Certified Public Accountant while employed by a major international accounting firm. Veronica’s resume includes senior accounting and finance positions within a Fortune 500 company as well as experience as a small business owner, managing a recreational marine facility for fifteen years and maintaining a boutique individual tax preparation business. A licensed Business Education teacher Veronica spent several years teaching an assortment of accounting and business classes at the high school and community college level. Passionate about financial literacy, Veronica strove to empower her students with the basic financial life skills required to succeed in today’s world. Veronica is a member of the New Jersey Society of CPAs and its Financial Services Committee. Additionally, she is a member of the Marine Society of the City of New York and serves as an elected trustee of The Trustees of the Sailors’ Snug Harbor in the City of New York. She is a member of, and past treasurer of, the Colts Neck Business Association. In her spare time, she enjoys trail riding throughout beautiful Monmouth County and currently serves as the President of the Colts Neck Trail Riders Club. She also enjoys casual golf and sailing as well as learning to play the bagpipes (a bucket list item!) |

Sharon Kelly Kapica '65
graduated from CSE with a B.S. in Biology. Professionally, Sharon is Professor Emeritus of the Biology Department of the Country College of Morris and has served as an instructor in the Biology Department at CSE as well as assisted with the planning and development of laboratory renovations for CSE. Additionally, she developed an affiliation agreement between the Foods & Nutrition Dept. of SEU and the County College of Morris. She has been deeply involved with the Alumnae/i Association in various capacities including: Board Secretary, Director-at-Large, Class of 1965 Agent, VPIA Search Committee Panelist, Mediation Panelist (2019), Liaison Panelist (2018) as well as committee member for Class of 1965 Reunion, North Jersey Chapter Revival, Holiday Boutique, Program Development and Budget.

Sister Jacquelyn Balasia '72
graduated from CSE with a B.A. in Mathematics/Secondary Education. Professionally, she is the Principal of Mother Seton Regional High school in Clark, NJ. Sister Jacquelyn has been recognized for the Sister Anna Concilio Mathematics Award (1972), Outstanding Educator Archdiocese of Newark (1992), N.J. Coaches Association Hall of Fame (2014), Mother Seton Regional HS Hall of Fame (2014), and Catholic School Executive Leadership Award, Fordham University (2017). She holds affiliations with the Sisters of Charity and the National Catholic Education Association, and has served as a board member for Camp Fatima of N.J., First Friends of NJ/NY, and Trinitas Hospital. Sister Jacquelyn has also previously served the Alumnae/i Association as Vice President. |
Carolyn Zincio Cuda '74
graduated from CSE with a B.A. in Elementary Education. Professionally, she has worked as a Special Education Teacher at Roxbury Township School and Allegro School, in the Resource Room/Inclusion at Randolph Middle School, and as a Pre-K Teacher at the Nursery School at St. Dunstan's. Carolyn holds affiliations with the NJEA and Board of Alumnae County College of Morris. She is also an Autism New Jersey Ambassador, Roxbury Arts Alliance volunteer, and performs as an alto in the Notable Singers. Carolyn has previously served the Alumnae/i Association as Chair from 1989-1990. |
Michelle M. Geary '19
earned her M.S. in Management with Honors from SEU and her B.A. in English Communications from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Florham-Madison. She was inducted into the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society for Business graduates in 2018. As an undergraduate, Michelle was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and served as Treasurer for two years. She was also a reporter for the campus newspaper. Michelle's vast professional experience includes more than eight years holding various corporate positions within Learning and Development. She is currently an Associate Manager, Learning Technologies at a major pharmaceutical company based in Summit, N.J. Michelle is also certified in Elementary Education and was a Computer Teacher for five years in both private and public schools. Her early career included positions in public relations, medical communications and HR consulting. This is Michelle's first time holding a position on the Board of Directors. |
Barbara Hadzima '68
earned her Ed.D. in Educational Administration from Seton Hall University, her master's degree from Kean University and her undergraduate degree from CSE. Professionally, she worked in Middle School Administration and as a college adjunct. While an undergraduate at CSE, Barbara was a player on the basketball team. She has participated in the Chinese Bridge Delegation (Hanban/Confucius Institute Headquarters) to Chinese universities which focuses on school visits, cultural activities and educational workshops. Barbara contributed to the New Jersey ALPHA Peace/Reconciliation Program in China, Hong Kong and South Korea. Along with participating in state-sponsored programs to bring light to European concentration camps and Yad Vashem in Israel, she assisted with the development of the New Jersey State Curriculum Guide to teach Holocaust/Genocide. Barbara holds affiliations with the Executive Board of Trustees County College of Morris, Board of Trustee: Morris County Library, Director-at-Large: College of St. Elizabeth, N.J., Chinese Bridge Delegation, and NJ-Alpha (NJ Alliance for the Preservation of History of Asia). |

Catherine Anne Gibbons '03
graduated from CSE with a B.A. and M.A. in Theology. She also holds a Ph.D. in Religious Education from Fordham University as well as a certificate in Pastoral Ministry from CSE. Professionally, Catherine is a director of Religious Education. She was inducted into the Kappa Gamma Pi-National Honor Society for graduates of Catholic colleges. Catherine has previously supported the Alumnae/i Association as Homecoming Chairperson for the 5 year reunion in 2008 and currently is the Director of Spirituality for the Association. |
Wynn Markell Johanson '67
graduated from CSE with a B.A. in English. Professionally she worked for IBM (1967-1980) as a Computer Programmer, Systems Engineer, and as a member of the NY Regional Marketing Staff. She was chosen for 3 Systems Engineering Awards and to write an IBM Technical Manual. At ExxonMobil (1980-2001) she worked as a Computer Technology Consultant, Applications Section Head, Financial Systems Strategic Planner and Computer Security Advisor. She was Section Head Forum Chair and received an award for co-leading a pioneering Financial System's Implementation. She was also a Total Quality Management Facilitator and Diversity Training Instructor. Wynn has served on the St. Elizabeth Board of Trustees since 2015, the NJ211 Partnership Board of Directors since 1998 serving as the Board's President from 2001-2004. She is a member of the St. Joseph Social Service Center Board of Trustees and the NJ Sierra Club Loantaka Group Executive Committee. Wynn is an active parishioner at Our Lady of Peace Parish serving as a Minister of Hospitality, Eucharistic Minister, and Website Committee Chair. She was awarded the YWCA Tribute to Women in Industry Award in 1995. Wynn has previously served the Alumnae/i Association as President from 1997-1999 and was the 2001 Alumnae/i Association Distinguished Alumna Award Recipient and 2009 Alumnae/i Association Distinguished Leadership Award Recipient. |

David J. Moran '08
graduated from CSE with a M.S. in Human Resource Management. He also holds a B.A. in English from Kings College (1988) and a certificate in Disability Management from Rutgers University (1996). Professionally, David works as a Bloomingdale's Tailored Men's Clothing & Shoes Sales Professional (2018-present), and has past experience with Catholic Charities - Catholic Family & Community Services (2015-2016) and Prudential Insurance Group (1988-2013). He was the recipient of the 2008 CSE Graduate Service Leadership Award, 2013 Morris County SHRM Leadership Achievement Award, and 2019 Bloomingdale's "B the Best Rookie" Quarterly Award. David has held affiliations with the Morris County Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) Chapter - Logistics Coordinator and VP Programs from 2008-2015, the CSE Student SHRM Regional Chapter Liaison Service, the St. Anne's Villa (Sisters of Charity), and the Assumption of the B.V.M. Church Choir. He has devotedly served the Alumnae/i Association in various capacities including: Pastoral Outreach (2017-present) and Director-at-Large (2016-present) (2009-2014). David has also been a committee member for Communications & Tech (2017-present), Holiday Boutique (multiple years), Chairman Nominating Committee (2012 & 2013), along with the Shakespeare Garden and Reunion Committee. |

Lorena Tyson '55
graduated from CSE with a B.S. in Chemistry and a Minor in Math. Her post-graduate work includes an M.S. in Chemistry with a Minor in Physics from Catholic University of America, an NSF Graduate Fellowship Grant for Math Studies from Seton Hall University, a Supervisory Certification from Kean University, and an Honorary Doctorate of Law from the College of Saint Elizabeth. Lorena has taught chemistry, physics, math, and religion at the secondary and college level at many various institutions. She is affiliated with the following Education Associations: National (NEA), New Jersey Education Association (NJEA), Essex County (ECEA), Montclair (MEA), NJ Science Teachers, and both N.J. & Essex County Retired Teachers Associations. Her other affiliations include Phi Delta Kappa, Montclair Democratic Committee, National Council of Negro Women, League of Women Voters, and Ambassador of the Montclair African Heritage Parade. Lorena has been honored for a multitude of awards throughout her life including the ECEA Human Relations Award, MEA Contribution to Education Award, Montclair Board of Education Resolution of Commendation Award, Governor's Teacher Recognition Award, Montclair Teacher of the Year Award, Eve Marchiony Montclair Outstanding Teacher Grant, ACS Edward Merrill Award (N.J. Section), ACS Middle Atlantic States Award, ECEA Educator of the Year Award, Knights of Columbus Montclair Teacher of the Year Award, Westin Award for Excellence in Teaching, Reverend Edward Farrell Distinguished ICHS Alumnus Award, and Princeton University Award. Lorena holds the highest distinction of serving on every level of leadership in the Alumnae/i Association as Class Agent, Director-at-Large, Treasurer, Secretary, Vice President, President Elect, President, Past-President, Chairwoman and member of various committees including the Nominating Committee and Holiday Boutique. |
Nancy Parker '68 Professionally, for the last 37 years, Nancy has worked in real estate and relocation and is presently a Senior Director of Global Client Relations at Cornerstone Relocation Group. She holds a State of New Jersey Real Estate License, the Graduate Realtor Institute Designation and the Certified Relocation Professional Designation. Nancy is a Member of the St. Jude Rosary and Altar Society and has been a Saint Elizabeth University Class Agent for the Class of 1968 for over 50 years! Margaret (Maggie) Daraghy '80 Margaret (Maggie) Gallagher Daraghy graduated from CSE in 1980 with a degree in Home Economics/Education. She continued her education at Brookdale Community College where she received a degree in Marketing and Fashion Merchandising in 1988. She then received a Masters in Special Education in 2003 from East Stroudsburg University. From 1980-1987 she was employed by International Playtex, where she was a pattern-grader, worked on a CAD system, and was Supervisor of the Pattern Department. Then, in 1987-1989, she worked for Gerber Garment Technology as a Computer Aided Drafting Specialist, where she trained and instructed individuals in the soft-goods industry. In 1989, she worked in freelance to train garment companies in the Lehigh Valley. She worked in childcare from 1990-1991 and then went on to teaching in the Easton Area School District from 1999 to 2019. She taught Elementary and Middle-school ages before ultimately teaching Family & Consumer Science and Special Education at the 9th-12th grade education level. After her retirement from teaching in 2019, she established MGD Stitching, where she performs repairs on high school athletic clothing, does minor alterations, and creates custom shirts. She is also involved with Adult and Pediatric Cancer Research, Autism Awareness, and supports First Responders |
